The AUMA actuator is remotely controlled by the control room to operate the industrial valve. Auma is a split structure, divided into control unit and execution unit. The control part is AM and AC control unit, the execution part is SA and SQ execution unit. The torque range of SA is 10 Nm to 32000 Nm, the output speed is 4 rpm to 180 rpm, the torque range of SQ is 50 Nm to 2400 Nm, the rotation angle range is 75 ° to 105 °, the operation time of 90 ° rotation is 4s-100s, the limit and torque shutdown, three-phase and single-phase AC motors

AC

When the application requires adaptive control function, data logging, configurable user interface, or the valve and actuator are integrated into the plant asset management system due to intelligent diagnosis function requirements, then the AC series actuator control device is the perfect solution.

The actuator control unit AC is configured with freely programmable parallel interface and/or fieldbus interface in the process automation system

Intelligent diagnostic functions include event reports with time stamps, torque characteristic curves, continuous records of temperature and vibration in the actuator, and calculations of starting times and motor operating times.

In addition to these basic functions, the integrated control unit AC provides several other functions to meet special requirements. Include torque bypass to open the valve when the valve is too tightly closed, or extend the operating time to avoid water hammer action in the piping.

With the continuous improvement of AC 01.2, AUMA pays special attention to the development of user friendly interface and integrates all functions of the actuator into DCS system more easily. The large image display allows menu programming control of the actuator controls or optional settings using the AUMA CDT Toolkit software via wireless Bluetooth communication. For fieldbus connection, AC programming control can be done in the control room.

AM

When parallel signal transmission is used and only a small amount of feedback signals are required, a well-designed AM series actuator control unit is the best choice. Set parameters by adjusting the sliding switch during the test run phase, for example, stop mode at terminal position. Control by operating command OPEN, STOP and CLOSE. Terminal position signal and comprehensive fault alarm signal are sent to DCS as feedback signals. It can be displayed on the local control device through the indicator. As an option, the valve position can be transmitted to the DCS via a 0/4 – 20 mA signal.

ACExC

Explosion-proof products must be used in potentially explosive atmospheres. Explosion-proof equipment shall be designed in such a way that the equipment itself will not be a source of ignition, spark or surface overheating. Obtaining certification confirms the close association of AUMA with a number of national and international certification bodies. The actuator control unit AUTOMATIC ACExC 01.2 with integrated local control unit is suitable for multi-turn actuators SAEx/SPAREx 07.2 – SAEx/SPAREx 16.2 and part-turn actuators SQEx/SQ05.2 – SQEx/SQRE Ex 14.2.

AC-SIL/ACExC-SIL

AUMA offers AC 01.2-SIL or ACExC 01.2-SIL actuator controls to meet complex control requirements for high level safety requirements. SA. 2 and SQ.2 series actuators can be used in the safety system of functional safety SIL 3 at most after being configured with such control devices. The type SIL AC 01.2 actuator control unit is configured with additional SIL modules for performing safety functions. In case of emergency, the safety function is activated, the standard logic control function of AC is bypassed, and the safety operation function of SIL module is started at the same time. Therefore, safety functions always take precedence over standard operation. The SA.2 and SQ.2 series actuators with such actuator controls have been successfully TV certified for the following safety functions:
