Mineral Insulated Measurement Cables

The inner conductor is generally a low resistive wire (in some cases several wires) which transmits the electrical signal. Conductors of this type are used in measurement and control techniques and thus referred to as sheathed measurement conductors.

Type denotation ISOMIL-M

Example: The type Denotation 2C2A60 designates a cable coil with 2 cores, inner conductors made of cooper, insulation made of MgO (97%), the sheath material 1.4541 and an outer diameter of 6 mm.

The inner conductor is a heating wire made of suitable material and with appropriate dimensions for electrical resistance heating. This combination is called a sheathed heating conductor. Mineral Insulated Thermocouple Cables

In ISOMIL-T the thermoelectric voltages of the thermocouples are in accordance with the basic standard values within the usual tolerance range. For NiCr-Ni the basic values of the thermoelectric voltage are identical in the German and international standards. For both Fe-CuNi (Thermoiron-Thermoconstantan) and Cu-CuNi (Thermocopper-Thermoconstantan) they differ.
