Background:. Beta galactosidase is coded by a gene (lac z) in the lac operon of Escherichia coli. It is a metalloenzyme that splits lactose into glucose and galactose. It hydrolyzes terminal, non-reducing beta-D-galactose residues in beta-D-galactosides. Activation by cations seems to be substrate dependent. K+, Na+, NH4+, Rb+, Cs+ and Mn++ all activate enzyme activity based upon the substrate used.

Anti-Beta galactosidase抗體Storage:  Store at -20℃ for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The  lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater  than a year when kept at -20℃. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent  of antibody, the antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4 ℃
