Pressure gauges come in many different accuracy grades. The accuracy classes are specified in the ASME B40.100 (accuracy classes ranging from 0.1% to 5%) and EN 837 (accuracy classes ranging from 0.1% to 4%) standards. The accuracy grade specification is usually "percentage of the range" meaning that if the accuracy grade is 1% and the range is 0 to 100 psi, the accuracy is ± 1p.
Make sure you know the accuracy level of the instrument to be calibrated, as this will naturally specify an acceptable accuracy level, but it will also have other effects on the calibration process.
